
Eder Group

Niusha received her Doctoral degree in physical chemistry from Vienna University on June 2017. Her thesis topic was “Laser Generation of Colloidal Metal Nanoparticles”. This systematic study of the pulsed laser generation of colloidal nickel, iron, and tungsten-iron-oxide alloy core-shell nanoparticles was concerned with radiation-solid interactions and with the investigation of particle structure, composition and size distribution. Her research was also directly involved in the European Union project “Laser Induced Synthesis of Biocompatible Multifunctional Inorganic Nanoparticles: A Novel Route to Produce
Multifunctional Contrast Agents for Early Diagnosis of Breast Cancer” (NIMBLIS). After graduation she joined the group of Molecular Materials Chemistry at Vienna University of Technology on December 2017.
Current research
She produced bimetallic Ni-Au-oxide Nanoparticles (BONs) by femtosecond laser ablation in various liquid media. Her research filed is related to physical chemistry, nanotechnology, materials science and laser physics. Her current research is “Atomic layer deposition of tantalum oxide on metallic surfaces”.
