Jasmin Schubert was born in Hamburg, Germany, although she grew up in Spain. She studied Chemistry in Barcelona, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree at the Autonomous University Barcelona (UAB) in 2016. That same year she moved to Vienna to start her Master’s degree at the Vienna University, Austria, which she finished with a merit scholarship and a Master’s thesis in photocatalytic water splitting in summer 2018. Later that year she started her PhD at the Vienna Technical University (TU Wien) in the group of Molecular Materials Chemistry, where her main research is on MXenes as photocatalysts for H2 generation.
